Ride Tenerife from Volcano to Atlantic

A carefully designed motorcycle journey through Tenerife’s most rewarding roads, from volcanic highlands and mountain passes to dramatic Atlantic coastlines.

This experience combines five days of riding with selected accommodation, local guidance and a route designed to reveal the island through the roads that make Tenerife such a distinctive motorcycle destination.

WHY TENERIFE

One Island, Many Different Roads

Tenerife is one of those rare destinations where the landscape changes almost completely within a single day of riding. From Atlantic coastal roads and historic towns to pine forests, volcanic plateaus and high mountain passes, every route brings a different rhythm and character.

The Teide offers wide, flowing roads and dramatic volcanic scenery. Anaga brings narrow mountain roads, laurel forests and remote coastal viewpoints. Teno and Masca add tighter curves, steep ravines and some of the island’s most technical riding. Together, they create a motorcycle destination with exceptional variety in a remarkably compact area.

That variety is what makes Tenerife ideal for a multi-day motorcycle journey: each riding day feels different, without spending hours simply connecting one region to another.

Your Tenerife Journey, Day by Day

Five riding days, one sailing experience and a carefully planned arrival day — combining Tenerife’s volcanic landscapes, mountain roads, Atlantic coastlines and time to experience the island beyond the motorcycle.

Along the route, we stop at key viewpoints and volcanic landmarks around Teide National Park, including areas such as Minas de San José and the western volcanic slopes. At more than 2,000 metres above sea level, the scenery, temperature and atmosphere change completely, creating a riding experience that feels unlike anywhere else on the island.

Day 1 — Teide & Volcanic Roads

The journey begins in the north of Tenerife and climbs gradually from the Atlantic coast through green landscapes and Canary pine forests into the island’s dramatic volcanic highlands. Wide, flowing roads, open visibility and long sweeping sections make this one of the most enjoyable riding days of the trip.

We meet the group at the airport and take care of the transfer to the hotel. After check-in, the journey begins with a welcome dinner, a full trip briefing and the presentation of your Canary Motorcycle Travel welcome pack and souvenirs.

Day 4 — Sailing & Relaxation in Los Gigantes

Laurisilva Forest · Mountain Roads · Remote Villages · Atlantic Coast

The route links panoramic viewpoints, small villages and remote stretches overlooking the Atlantic. The riding is slower and more technical in places, with tighter roads and limited visibility, but that is part of what gives Anaga its character and makes it such a rewarding day on the motorcycle.

Day 2 — Anaga Mountains & Atlantic Views

After three days on the road, this is the day to slow down. We pick you up directly from the hotel and take care of the transfer to Los Gigantes, so you can leave the motorcycle behind and simply enjoy the experience.

The third riding day heads west from the north coast towards the rugged Teno massif, passing historic towns such as Icod de los Vinos and Garachico before the landscape becomes steeper, narrower and more dramatic.

Day 3 — Teno, Masca & the Wild West

Hotel Pick-Up · Los Gigantes · Sailing · Marine Life · Swim & Relax

The highlight is the road to Masca, one of Tenerife’s most iconic mountain routes, with tight bends, deep ravines and spectacular viewpoints over the Atlantic. It is a more technical day, with slower riding and constant changes in elevation, but also one of the most rewarding and authentic stages of the journey.

From the marina, we sail along the spectacular cliffs of Los Gigantes in a small-group setting, with the chance to see dolphins, whales, turtles and seabirds in their natural environment. The route includes time to swim or snorkel beneath the cliffs, enjoy food and drinks on board and take in the west coast of Tenerife from the sea.

It is a complete change of pace: no riding, no navigation and no logistics to think about. Just a relaxed day on the Atlantic before returning to the hotel and getting ready for the next stage of the motorcycle journey.
